Lonesome Doves are Dallas, Texas-based musicians & songwriters Scarlett and Sean Compton. Following the 2014 release of their closet recording studio's "Handmade" and 2015's "The Present", comes the release of their third full-length album "The Dream".

The meaning behind their current release is a simple one. This latest body of work has taken years to produce and every extra effort to put forth into existence outside their lives as parents and partners. Therefore, it has been "The Dream" to eventually put it out into the world. The Dream is the most satisfying creation from Lonesome Doves to date. The songs have matured and evolved from years of playing them on the road into everything they could have imagined them to be.

Lonesome Doves are embracing their unique place in the music world. They've rejected having a social media presence in order to only focus on creating in their free time. They never have been hung up on placing their music in a genre, because they write in service to the song. Their sound is colorful and full of multitudes of musical influences. However, there may be a Lonesome Doves sound being procured in these most recent recordings. Scarlett's warm vocals and unique tones from her Ukutele intertwining with Sean's harmonizing voice and soaring telecaster are becoming a staple in their sound. Sean's drum work and acoustic touches are also not to be undermined in the totality of this work.

This current album was written over a span of 5 years. It was recorded at Frogville Studios in Santa Fe, NM in July of 2018 while Scarlett was 7 months pregnant. Every sound you hear on this record was created by them in under a week at Frogville Studios. They slept in the bunkhouse there and awoke each day to record songs. They were able to fully immerse themselves in the recording experience and enjoy the solitude of starry desert nights after long sunsets draped across the mountains in the distance. Their friend and engineer, Jason Reed, would enjoy tasty vegan food with them prepared in the kitchen behind the mixing board every day. Frogville studios gave Lonesome Doves the opportunity to creatively relax and dig in to complete their dream of bringing this newest batch of original songs to life.
