Written in Denton, Texas after experimenting with new media in GarageBand. We created the infectious bass line first then the lyrics flowed out once more, and were written then applied. We then built guitar and more amplified sounds around it. The theme is of course, unbearable working conditions that tear up your body and soul. We drew upon the turn of the century and the industrial revolution in this country (US) to provide context to how modern work days tear at your soul. Although, within this song we try to allude that as bad as our days of labor feel they are no where near as bad as they once were and that our modern selves with all of all our conveniences could not bare the working conditions of that squalid time in our history.
